In a strategic assessment of metropolitan development outside the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Construction and Housing are promoting the development of a number of innovation districts in Israel by creating an ecosystem based on local strengths. With the successful completion of the process in Beersheba, under the local management of the company and international experts, it was decided to immediately promote another district in the city of Haifa. The Haifa Innovation District plan is currently in the stages of study and mapping of the city's unique strengths and assets in the fields of research and innovation, together with local partners. The company expects to complete the process and writing of the development plan for the innovation district in the lower city in June 2021.
